Green Sustainable Stocking Stuffer Ideas With A Whimsical Twist For The Christmas Season

For festive holiday stocking stuffers that are sure of making an impression, you might try looking at some of the seriously cute collections of hats, scarves, mittens, and handwarmers at Green 3.

Besides making things are cute and unique, Green 3 has turned the philosophy of being green and sustainable into an all-around business practice.

The company creates a variety of clothes and accessories using a combination of organic cotton, recycled cotton, and reclaimed materials. It also takes the extra step of making sure that from concept to the end product, its items are made in the United States – mostly in upstate New York.

This year, Green 3 has come out with a lot of great collections especially for the holiday season. The ‘Candy Cane Scarf’ is one of my favorite items from the company because of its cute and has a longer seasonal wear-life than many of the other holiday items.

The scarf looks like a candy cane, but it’s also just a simple, pretty design pattern too, so you can get away with wearing it longer into the winter.

For those that are more whimsical at heart and brave enough to show it, another great item is the ‘Reindeer Scarf.’ The company also sells ‘Reindeer Mittens.’

If you’re a little more extreme in your exuberance for the season, then you should take a look at the ‘Santa Scarf’ and ‘Santa Mittens.’ These are especially great if you’re going to someone’s house and bringing them gifts. It’s like playing Santa, but taking it a notch down from having a full suit.

All of the items mentioned so far are made of 75 percent pre-consumer recycled cotton, with 25 percent acrylic.

Also, for a more classical approach to keeping your hands warm, as well as your fingers free and nimble, I like the company’s soft white sweater knit ‘Natural Handwarmers,’ made from recycled yarn.

Overall, I think that Green 3 has a lot of great finds that are worth looking at!
